South Korean Driver’s Licence Translation Services

As per ICBC’s reciprocity program, you can exchange your South Korean Driver’s licence with a B.C. driver’s licence as long as you obtain a certified translation of your South Korean driver’s licence and submit it to an ICBC office. 

This translation must be completed by an approved translator.

Translate Your South Korean Driver’s Licence in 3 Simple Steps

  1. Provide us with your original driver’s licence or an ICBC-approved stamped copy of your original driver’s licence, as well as your name, spelled as shown on your passport.
  2. Pay the fee via e-transfer to krdl@jlcom.ca. 
  3. Schedule a pick up, which is available only in downtown Vancouver, or have your translation delivered to you via courier or registered mail delivery, available at an extra cost depending on your location.

Note: We will need your original South Korean driver’s licence or ICBC-approved stamped copy of the original South Korean driver’s licence to proceed with the translation as ICBC rules require that all documents must be translated from original documents or from a copy of the original that has been approved and stamped by a driver licensing office. To get an ICBC-approved stamped copy of your original driver’s licence, visit an ICBC office with your original driver’s licence. The original or stamped and approved copy of the original must also be presented when submitting a translated document to a driver licensing office.
